SSC MTS Eligibility Criteria
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff Examination (MTS) to recruit eligible candidates for various government posts. To ensure fair selection, the SSC has specific eligibility criteria that candidates must meet.
Nationality:
- Must be a citizen of India.
- Subjects of Nepal or Bhutan.
- Tibetan refugees who came to India before 1st January 1962.
- Persons of Indian origin who have migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam.

- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 25 years

Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PWD: 10 years

Educational Qualification:
- Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board.
Physical Standards:
- Height: Minimum 157 cm for male candidates and 152 cm for female candidates.
- Chest: Minimum 80 cm for male candidates with a minimum expansion of 5 cm.
Selection Process:
The selection process for SSC MTS involves the following stages:
- Computer-Based Examination (CBE): This stage consists of two papers:
- Paper I: General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Numerical Aptitude, and English Language.
- Paper II: English Language (Descriptive Paper)
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates who qualify in the CBE will be shortlisted for the PET.
- Document Verification: Candidates who qualify in the PET will be called for document verification.
