SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria 2025: Age Limit

  • Candidates must have been born not earlier than August 2, 1992, and not later than August 1, 2006, for posts with an age limit of 18-32 years.  
  • For the posts with an age limit of 18-27 years, the candidate must have been born not earlier than August 2, 1997, and not later than August 1, 2006.  
  • Junior Statistical Officer (JSO): Requires a Bachelor’s degree with at least 60% marks in Mathematics at the 12th standard level or a Bachelor’s degree with Statistics as one of the subjects .  
  • Statistical Investigator Grade II: Requires a Bachelor’s degree with Statistics as one of the subjects .  

SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria 2025: Nationality

Candidates must be either:

  • A citizen of India, or
  • A subject of Nepal, or
  • A subject of Bhutan  

SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria 2025: Physical Standards

Certain posts, such as Inspector (Central Excise/Examiner/Preventive Officer) and Sub-Inspector in CBI, NIA, and NCB, have specific physical standards related to height, chest measurement, and walking/cycling endurance . These standards may be relaxed for candidates belonging to specific categories like Garwalis, Assamese, Gorkhas, and members of Scheduled Tribes .
